Wow - again I have let the blog fall to the bottom of my priority list. Things are currently pretty uneventful with my Crohn's Disease. In June I was put on a 6-m medicine that was going to be the answer to it all and get me back to a normal living lifestyle - that didn't happen - my body rejected that medicine just like the Imuran. Luckily, after being pulled off of it I seemed to be doing okay with the Pentasa and have been weened off Entocort. Right now I am back to my maintenance routine and praying every day things stay that way. I have a check up on Friday so we shall see what the doctor thinks. My thought process at the moment is that I feel good - better than I have in over a year - I'm starting to get into the training for the 1/2 Marathon in Vegas and finally finding my way into a healthy eating lifestyle...so...I don't want to mess with any of it right now.
Team Challenge - the awesome national team I'm a part of as I take the journey to Vegas for the 1/2 Marathon in December. My fantastic and wonderful friend, Christina, will also be traveling with me and participating in the 1/2 marathon with me - step for step. I am so excited that we are doing this - it's truly going to be a way for me to take back part of the dignity I feel I've lost to this yucky disease. If only I can stay healthy long enough to complete this tremendous goal I've set out to do. Crohn's Disease doesn't control me and it's time for me to show it who's really the boss. :)
